about

This project was originally available only on cassette and was distributed to a handful of friends. I put it together while living alone in my small apartment in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood (keyboard, broken 4-track tape recorder and computer on bare wooden floors). I consider this the best-of collection of my early recordings, including collaborations with Rick Parker and Todd Snow.

All of the recordings on 'admus electro' are lo-fi, captured originally on cassette tape or later DAT. Some stretch all the way back to an apartment i shared with Todd and Jason on Fulton St. And some possibly to Roscoe & Racine where Todd and i first started.

The tenement building on the cover is 736 Moody St. in Lowell, Massachusetts--where Jack Kerouac once lived. Reminds me of being a kid, riding around in the backseat of my mom's car (she grew up in Lawrence, MA).
